How 614petcare maintains listings
How listings are discovered
Listings come from open or licensed data sources, the organizations’ own published websites, and community submissions. The open datasets this directory uses are credited in the footer of every page and set out in full below. Every listing page names the source each detail came from, the license that source publishes under where it states one, and the date the details were retrieved. Submissions are reviewed by an editor before publication, so nothing appears automatically.
Open data and attribution
Part of this directory is built on open data, and crediting it is a condition of the licenses it is published under. This list is generated from the published listings themselves, so it names every dataset and license actually in use here and nothing else.
The datasets above are credited for the records taken from them. They do not endorse this directory, and any error introduced here is this directory’s own. The same credits appear on the terms page.
How data is verified
Every listing records the source its details came from and the date they were retrieved. A listing is only marked as verified when a specific field has been checked against an authoritative source, and that evidence is shown on the listing. Records that have not been checked that way stay labeled unverified rather than being presented as confirmed. Where sources disagree, the more recent authoritative record is preferred and the conflict is noted.
What verification statuses mean
Verification describes information accuracy only. It is not certification, licensure review, or an endorsement of quality.
Corrections
Anyone can submit a correction from any listing page. Corrections are reviewed by an editor before anything changes, and a listing’s checked date is updated when a correction is applied. No response time is promised, and records are not re-checked on a fixed schedule; each listing shows when its details were last retrieved so you can judge how current they are.
Featured, sponsored, and ranking
Featured listings pay for additional visibility in relevant categories and locations, and are always labeled “Featured.” Sponsored placements are paid advertising, always labeled “Sponsored,” and visually separated from organic results. Payment never affects verification status or organic ranking. Sponsored positions may rotate among sponsors. Featured placement does not guarantee traffic or leads, and payment is not an editorial endorsement.
Claiming or removing information
Owners can claim a listing by verifying through an official domain email, the listed business phone, or supporting documentation (manual review). Requests to remove personal data or an entire listing go through the data-removal form in the footer and are handled by an editor.
